Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory
You must show a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate (yellow card) at immigration. Without it, you can be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated on the spot at your own expense. Get the shot at least 10 days before travel.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your eVisa approval, passport scan, return ticket, and hotel booking as PDFs on your phone. Internet can be patchy, so download them before you arrive. A printed backup is even better.

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to visa.gouv.cd, fill in your details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $50–$100 depending on processing speed). You'll get a confirmation email within a few days.

Print or save on your phone: the eVisa approval email, your passport, return ticket, hotel booking, and insurance certificate. Keep them in a folder you can grab quickly.

Arrive at the airport
At Kinshasa (FIH) or Lubumbashi (FBM), go to the immigration counter. Hand over your passport and eVisa approval. The officer will check your documents and stamp you in. Expect a short wait — queues can be slow.
