Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Seychelles
Immigration officers at Seychelles International Airport always ask for a return or onward ticket within the 90-day visa-free period. Airlines also check this before issuing your boarding pass — have a printed copy or a clear digital version ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Immigration may ask where you are staying. Have a confirmed hotel reservation, a rental agreement, or a letter from your host in Seychelles ready to show. A simple booking confirmation email works.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during your stay
Officers occasionally ask for evidence of sufficient funds. Carry a bank statement or credit card showing you have at least $150 USD per day of your stay. A recent statement from your bank is fine.Recommended
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your Egyptian passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you enter Seychelles. Airlines check this before you board. If your passport expires earlier, you will be denied boarding — no exceptions.
Travel Authorization is mandatory
Even though you don't need a visa, you must obtain a Travel Authorization at seychelles.govtas.com before flying. The cost is ~$10 USD and approval is usually instant. Apply at least 24 hours before your flight to avoid issues.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for Travel Authorization online
Go to seychelles.govtas.com and fill out the application. You'll need your passport details, flight info, and accommodation address. Pay the ~$10 USD fee with a credit card. Approval is usually instant — you'll get a PDF by email. Print it or save it on your phone.
2
Check in for your flight
At the airport in Egypt, the airline will check your passport validity (6+ months) and your return ticket. They may also ask for your Travel Authorization. If everything is in order, you'll get your boarding pass.
3
Arrive at Seychelles International Airport (SEZ)
After landing, follow signs to immigration. The queue moves quickly. Hand over your passport, Travel Authorization (digital or printed), and return ticket. The officer may ask about your accommodation and funds. Answer clearly. You'll get a stamp allowing up to 90 days.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel. There's a customs checkpoint — declare any goods over $500 USD or restricted items. Then you're free to exit into the arrivals hall.
