Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for the entire time you're in Kyrgyzstan. Airlines at Madrid and Barcelona check this at check-in. No minimum validity beyond your stay is required by Kyrgyz law.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Kyrgyzstan
Immigration officers at Manas International Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready. A flight to any destination outside Kyrgyzstan works.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or an invitation letter from your host. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it avoids delays if they do. A booking confirmation from Booking.com or similar is fine.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during your stay
Have a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least $50 USD per day of your stay. Officers almost never check this for Spanish passport holders, but the law requires it.Recommended
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you arrive in Kyrgyzstan, not from when you leave. If it expires sooner, renew it before you go.
No visa extension available
The 60-day visa-free period cannot be extended. If you need to stay longer, you must apply for a visa at a Kyrgyz embassy before you travel.

What happens at the border

3
