Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your Spanish passport needs to be valid only for the time you plan to stay in Saint Kitts and Nevis. Airlines may still enforce the 6-month rule, so check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Saint Kitts and Nevis
Immigration officers routinely ask for a return or onward ticket at the border. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they won't let you through without one.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a copy of your hotel reservation or a letter from your host. Officers rarely ask, but having it ready avoids delays at the immigration desk.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during your stay
Have a bank statement or credit card ready to demonstrate you have enough money for your trip. There's no fixed minimum, but around $50–$100 USD per day is a safe benchmark.Recommended
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you arrive in Saint Kitts and Nevis, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, renew it before you go.
No visa extensions available
The 90-day visa-free stay is not extendable. Plan your trip accordingly. Overstaying can lead to fines or a re-entry ban.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at the airport
You'll land at Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport (SKB) on St. Kitts, or Vance W. Amory International Airport (NEV) on Nevis. Follow signs to 'Immigration' — it's a small terminal, easy to navigate.
2
Join the immigration queue
There are separate lines for citizens/residents and visitors. Join the visitors line. Have your passport and return ticket ready. The officer will ask your purpose of visit and length of stay.
3
Get your passport stamped
The officer will stamp your passport with the date of entry and the number of days allowed (usually 90). Check the stamp before you walk away — if it says fewer days than you expected, ask politely.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, head to baggage claim, then customs. Customs is usually a quick walk-through. You're free to go.
