Apply for a Kosovo eVisa at the official portal before departure. Processing takes up to 15 working days. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for entire stay
Your Ethiopian passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Kosovo. Kosovo does not require 6 months of remaining validity, but airlines may enforce their own rules.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Border officers may ask for a return or onward ticket showing you leave Kosovo within the visa validity period. Have a printed or digital copy ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Immigration may ask for a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Kosovo. Keep a copy on your phone or printed.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show sufficient money for your stay
Officers can request evidence you have enough cash or credit to cover your trip. Carry bank statements or a credit card with available limit.Recommended
Apply early — no rush service
Kosovo's e-Visa system does not offer expedited processing. If you apply too close to your departure date, you risk not getting approved in time. Apply at least 2–3 weeks before you fly.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save PDFs or screenshots of your visa, passport, tickets, and accommodation on your phone and in cloud storage. If you lose a document, you can still show it digitally.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the e-Visa online
Go to the official Kosovo e-Visa website (e-viza.rks-gov.net). Create an account, fill in your personal and travel details, upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page, and pay the fee. Submit and wait for approval — typically 3–5 business days.
2
Prepare your documents
Print or save digital copies of your approved visa, passport, return ticket, accommodation booking, and travel insurance. Keep them together in a folder or on your phone for easy access.
3
Arrive at Pristina International Airport
When you land at Pristina Airport (PRN), head to the immigration hall. Join the queue for non-Kosovo passports. Have your passport and visa ready. The officer may ask about your trip — answer clearly and briefly.
4
Present documents and receive entry stamp
Hand over your passport and visa. The officer will check your details, may ask for your return ticket or accommodation proof, and then stamp your passport. You're in — welcome to Kosovo.
