What happens at the border

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.kdmid.ru, fill in the application form, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (if any) and submit. Processing usually takes 4–7 calendar days.

Receive eVisa approval
You'll get an email with your eVisa approval. Print a copy and save a PDF on your phone. The eVisa is valid for a single entry and allows stays up to 16 days.

Pack your documents
Have your passport, eVisa printout, return ticket, accommodation booking, and travel insurance ready. Keep them in your hand luggage.

Arrive at the border
At passport control, hand over your passport and eVisa. The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation details. Answer clearly. You'll receive an entry stamp.

Register your stay
Within 7 days of arrival, your hotel or host must register your stay with the local migration office. If you're in a private apartment, the host handles this. Keep a copy of the registration slip.
