Finnish passport holders can enter Kosovo without a visa for stays up to 90 days within a 180-day period. This has been the case since 2010 and remains unchanged for 2026. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your arrival date.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your Finnish passport needs to be valid for your entire stay in Kosovo. No minimum validity period beyond your departure date is required by Kosovo authorities, but airlines may enforce 3 months validity — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Kosovo
Immigration officers at Pristina International Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they check this before stamping you in.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Border officers may ask where you're staying. Have a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their address and contact number ready to show.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
You may be asked to demonstrate you have enough money for your stay. Carry a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least €50–100 per day of your visit.Recommended
Passport validity counts from arrival, not departure
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Kosovo. If it expires sooner, you'll be denied entry — even if you plan to leave before it expires.
No visa needed for stays up to 90 days
Finnish passport holders can enter Kosovo visa-free for tourism, business, or family visits. Just show up with a valid passport and a return ticket.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Pristina International Airport
You'll land at Pristina International Airport (PRN). Follow signs to 'Arrivals' and join the queue for 'All Passports' or 'Non-EU' (though Finns are visa-free). Have your passport and boarding pass ready.
2
Present your passport at immigration
Hand over your passport. The officer will check your passport validity and may ask about your return ticket and accommodation. Answer clearly. They'll stamp you in — usually valid for up to 90 days.
3
Collect your luggage and exit
After the stamp, head to baggage claim. Then walk through the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel if you have no goods to declare. That's it — you're in Kosovo.
