Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you arrive in Azerbaijan, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.
eVisa is single entry only
The standard eVisa allows one entry. If you leave Azerbaijan (even for a day trip to Georgia), you'll need a new visa to re-enter.

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Azerbaijan eVisa portal (evisa.gov.az). Fill in your passport details, travel dates, and upload a passport-style photo. Pay the fee (around $25 USD) with a credit card. You'll receive a confirmation email.

Wait for approval (3 business days)
Most eVisa applications are processed within 3 business days. You'll get the approved visa as a PDF by email. Print it out and save a copy on your phone.

Arrive at the airport in Azerbaijan
At Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport, head to the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Hand over your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. The officer will stamp you in. The whole process takes about 5–10 minutes.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel and walk through customs. There's nothing else to fill out.
