What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Hamad International Airport
After landing in Doha, follow the signs to 'Arrivals' and proceed to the immigration hall. There are separate queues for GCC nationals and other nationalities — join the 'All Passports' or 'Foreigners' queue.
2
Present your passport at the immigration counter
Hand over your UK passport to the officer. They will check your passport validity and may ask about your purpose of visit, where you're staying, and how long you plan to stay. Answer clearly and confidently.
3
Receive your visa waiver stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with a visa waiver valid for 30 days. This stamp is your entry permission — don't lose it, as you'll need it when you leave.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then through customs. There's nothing else to do — you're free to enter Qatar.
