Must be valid for the entire stay

Proof of onward travel
Immigration officers at Ukrainian airports routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight itinerary ready — they check this before granting entry.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel reservation or an invitation letter from your host in Ukraine. Border officers may ask for it, especially if you're staying for more than a few days.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have bank statements or cash equivalent to at least $50 USD per day of your stay. Immigration can ask for proof of sufficient funds at the border.Recommended

What happens at the border

1
Apply for your eVisa online
Go to evisa.gov.ua/en and fill out the application form. Upload a digital passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the visa fee (around $20–$35 depending on processing speed). Submit and wait for approval — typically 5–10 working days.
2
Pack your documents
Print or save to your phone: your approved eVisa confirmation, passport, return ticket, accommodation booking, and travel insurance. Keep them together in a folder or a dedicated phone album.
3
Arrive at Boryspil or Lviv airport
At passport control, hand over your passport and eVisa confirmation. The officer will check your passport validity, stamp your entry, and may ask for your return ticket or accommodation. Answer clearly and calmly. The whole process usually takes 2–5 minutes.
4
Register with local authorities (if staying long-term)
If you plan to stay more than 90 days, you must register with the State Migration Service within 30 days of arrival. Your hotel or landlord can help with this.
