eVisa application
Apply online before travel
Apply for a DR Congo eVisa at visa.gouv.cd at least 2 weeks before departure. The eVisa is single-entry and valid for up to 90 days. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at N'djili Airport will check it before stamping you in.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for the entire stay
Your Greek passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from DR Congo. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from DR Congo
Immigration officers at N'djili Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket showing you leave within the eVisa's validity period. Have a printed copy or show it on your phone — they will not let you through without it.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in DR Congo. Immigration may ask for it at the border, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have bank statements or a credit card ready showing access to at least $500 USD for your stay. Immigration officers occasionally ask for this at the counter.Recommended
No visa on arrival for Greek passport holders
You must have an eVisa before you fly. Airlines check this at check-in. Without it, you won't be allowed to board.
Yellow fever vaccination required
Bring your yellow fever certificate (yellow card). Immigration at Kinshasa airport may ask to see it. No card = possible vaccination at the airport or fine.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to visa.gouv.cd, fill in the form, upload your passport scan and photo, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.
2
Print your eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll receive a PDF. Print it and keep a digital copy on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.
3
Arrive at N'Djili International Airport (FIH)
Most flights from Europe land at Kinshasa's N'Djili Airport. Go to the 'eVisa' or 'Visa on Arrival' desk (signs are in French). Present your passport, eVisa printout, and return ticket.
4
Get your passport stamped
An officer will check your documents and stamp your passport. This usually takes 5–10 minutes. Keep the eVisa printout with your passport for the rest of your stay.
