Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay
Your Greek passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Fiji. Immigration at Nadi Airport checks this strictly — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for visa-free entry
You need a confirmed onward or return ticket out of Fiji. Immigration officers at Nadi Airport routinely ask to see it — if you don't have one, they'll put you on the next flight back.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to have ready
Have a hotel booking or a letter of invitation from your host in Fiji. Officers at immigration may ask where you're staying — having a printed confirmation speeds things up.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to have ready
Carry evidence of sufficient funds for your stay — a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least 500 FJD per day. Immigration rarely asks, but it's better to have it.Recommended
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Fiji. If it's even a day short, you will be refused boarding by the airline or denied entry at the border. Check your passport now.
No visa, but still need a return ticket
Even though you don't need a visa, immigration will ask for proof of a return or onward ticket. Have a screenshot or printed copy ready. Airlines also check this before letting you board.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents before departure
Check your passport validity (6+ months from entry date). Book your return/onward ticket. Save a screenshot of your flight booking and first night's accommodation on your phone. Consider getting travel insurance and a local eSIM.
2
Arrive at Nadi or Suva airport
You'll land at Nadi International Airport (most common) or Nausori Airport in Suva. Follow signs to immigration. There are usually two queues: one for Fijian citizens and one for foreigners. Join the foreigner queue.
3
Present your passport and ticket at immigration
Hand over your passport and your return/onward ticket. The officer may ask how long you're staying and where you're staying. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport with a visitor permit valid for up to 120 days.
4
Collect your luggage and proceed to customs
After immigration, head to baggage claim, then customs. Declare any food, plants, or animal products. Fiji has strict biosecurity laws — fines for undeclared items are real.
