Immigration officers at Piarco International Airport routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel confirmation, hostel booking, or a letter of invitation from your host in Trinidad and Tobago. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during your stay

Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. Airlines check this before boarding, and immigration checks it on arrival. If your passport expires sooner, you'll be turned away.
No visa needed, but be prepared
You don't need a visa, but immigration officers can still deny entry if they're not satisfied with your documents or purpose of visit. Always carry proof of onward travel and accommodation.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Piarco International Airport (POS)
Most flights from Europe land at Piarco in Port of Spain. After deplaning, follow signs to 'Immigration' or 'Passport Control'. There are separate queues for Trinidad and Tobago citizens and visitors. Join the 'Visitors' or 'Foreign Passports' line.
2
Present your documents
Hand over your passport and completed landing card (you'll get it on the plane or at the counter). The officer will check your passport validity, ask about your stay, and may request your return ticket or accommodation proof. Answer clearly and briefly.
3
Receive entry stamp
If everything's in order, the officer stamps your passport with the date of entry and a note of your allowed stay (up to 90 days). Check the stamp before leaving the counter. You're now free to collect your luggage and head to customs.

If you're arriving directly from Greece, no. But if you've recently traveled to a country with yellow fever (e.g., parts of South America or Africa), you may need to show a yellow fever vaccination certificate. Check the latest health requirements before you travel.
You will likely be denied boarding by the airline or refused entry at immigration. Renew your passport before traveling. There are no exceptions for this rule.
No. The visa-free entry is for tourism, business meetings, or short visits only. For work or study, you must apply for the appropriate visa or permit before you travel.
No, there is no arrival declaration required for Greek passport holders. You'll fill out a paper landing card on the plane or at the airport.
The local currency is the Trinidad and Tobago dollar (TTD). US dollars are widely accepted at hotels and larger businesses, but you'll get better rates using local currency. ATMs are available at the airport and in cities. It's a good idea to have some TTD cash for taxis and small shops.
Overstaying is taken seriously. You may be fined, detained, and/or banned from re-entering Trinidad and Tobago for a period. Always leave on time or apply for an extension before your stay expires (though extensions are not available for visa-free visitors).
