Frequently asked questions

Processing usually takes 3–5 business days, but can take up to 2 weeks during peak periods. Apply at least 2 weeks before your trip to be safe.
No. Hong Kong passport holders must have an approved eVisa before boarding. There is no visa on arrival option.
The eVisa fee varies depending on the type and duration. Typically around $160–$200 USD for a single-entry tourist visa. Check the portal for the exact amount at the time of application.
Yes, Nigeria requires proof of yellow fever vaccination for all travellers over 9 months old. Carry your International Certificate of Vaccination (yellow card) — immigration may ask to see it.
The eVisa is not extendable. If you need to stay longer, you must apply for a new visa or a residence permit from within Nigeria before your current visa expires. This is a bureaucratic process — best to plan your trip within the visa validity.
Rejections are rare but can happen if documents are incomplete or if there are concerns about your purpose of visit. You can reapply with corrected information. There is no refund of the application fee.
It's not a formal requirement, but immigration officers may ask how you'll support yourself during your stay. Having a bank statement or credit card with a reasonable balance is a good idea.
