Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your Hong Kong passport needs to be valid for the entire time you're in Serbia. No minimum validity beyond your departure date is required by Serbian law, but airlines may check for at least 3 months validity.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Serbia
Immigration officers at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they check this before stamping you in.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel confirmation or a letter from your host. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it ready avoids delays at the counter.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have a bank statement or credit card ready. Serbia doesn't publish a minimum amount, but around €50 per day is a safe benchmark if asked.Recommended
14-day limit is strict
The 14-day visa-free period is not extendable. Overstaying even by one day can result in fines and a re-entry ban. Plan your departure carefully.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the day you enter Serbia, not from the day you book your flight. Check your passport expiry before booking.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. There are separate queues for EU/non-EU passports. Join the non-EU line. Have your passport and return ticket ready.
2
Present your passport and answer questions
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask about your purpose of visit, length of stay, and where you're staying. Answer clearly. They may also ask to see your return ticket.
3
Receive entry stamp
If everything is in order, the officer stamps your passport with the entry date. This stamp shows your allowed stay. Keep it safe — you'll need it when leaving.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There are no additional forms to fill for visa-free entry.
