Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your Croatian passport needs to be valid for the entire time you're in Kyrgyzstan. No minimum validity beyond your departure date is required by Kyrgyz law, but airlines may ask for at least 3 months validity at check-in.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Kyrgyzstan
Immigration officers at Manas International Airport routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready — they check this before stamping you in.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it ready avoids delays at the counter.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient money for your stay
You may be asked to show you have enough cash or card funds to cover your trip. Around $50 USD per day is a safe benchmark — keep a bank statement or card handy just in case.Recommended
Visa-free for 60 days — no extensions
You get a full 60 days without a visa, but you cannot extend it. Plan your exit before day 60. If you need more time, apply for a visa at a Kyrgyz embassy before you travel.
No visa fee, no application
There's no visa to apply for, no fee to pay, and no paperwork. Just show up with a valid passport and a return ticket. It's one of the easiest entries for Croatian passport holders.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Manas International Airport (Bishkek) or Osh Airport
Most travellers fly into Bishkek. After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. There are separate queues for Kyrgyz citizens and foreigners. Join the foreigner queue.
2
Present your passport and boarding pass
Hand over your passport and boarding pass. The officer will check your passport validity and may ask for your return ticket. Have your phone ready with the booking confirmation.
3
Get your entry stamp
The officer stamps your passport with the date of entry. You're allowed to stay up to 60 days. The stamp is free — no visa fee.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, head to baggage claim, then customs. There's nothing special to declare for personal items. Walk out into the arrivals hall.
