Cyprus is not in Schengen
Even though Cyprus uses the same 90/180-day rule, it's not part of the Schengen Area. Your days in Cyprus do not count toward your Schengen 90-day limit. You can spend 90 days in Cyprus and another 90 days in Schengen separately.
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Immigration officers at Larnaca and Paphos airports are known to check passport validity carefully. If your passport has less than 6 months remaining from your arrival date, you will be refused entry. No exceptions.
