Estonia entry requirements for Hungary passport holders
Hungarian passport holders can travel to Estonia visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. This has been the case since Estonia joined the Schengen Area in 2007, and it remains unchanged in 2026.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must be valid for the duration of your stay | Your Hungarian passport needs to be valid for your entire stay in Estonia. Estonia does not require 6 months of remaining validity for EU nationals, but your passport must be valid for the full period you plan to be in the Schengen area. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from the Schengen area | Immigration officers at Tallinn Airport may ask for a return or onward ticket showing you leave the Schengen zone within 90 days. Have a printed or digital copy ready — budget airlines sometimes check this at check-in. | Required |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Carry a printed or digital copy of your hotel reservation, hostel booking, or a letter of invitation from your host in Estonia. Border officers occasionally ask for this, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show you can support yourself during your stay | Have a bank statement or credit card ready showing you have enough money for your trip. Estonia does not enforce a fixed minimum amount, but around €50–€70 per day is a safe benchmark if asked. | Recommended |
