What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Equatorial Guinea eVisa portal. Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee with a credit card. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive and save your eVisa
You'll get an email with the approved eVisa as a PDF. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. Immigration at Malabo (SSG) or Bata (BSG) airport will ask to see it.
3
Prepare your documents for arrival
Have your passport, eVisa printout, return ticket, and hotel booking ready. Keep them in a separate folder in your carry-on so you're not fumbling at the counter.
4
Go through immigration at the airport
At Malabo or Bata airport, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Hand over your passport and eVisa. The officer may ask about your purpose of visit and where you're staying. Answer clearly. You'll get an entry stamp valid for up to 90 days.
