Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for the full duration of your 90-day stay. Tunisia does not enforce a 6-month validity rule beyond your departure date, but your airline may check for at least 3 months remaining.Required
Return or onward ticket
Recommended
Immigration officers at Tunis-Carthage Airport routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return or onward ticket ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Recommended
Hotel booking confirmation or an invitation letter from your host in Tunisia. Officers may ask for this if you look uncertain about where you're staying.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended
Cash, credit card, or bank statement showing you can support yourself. No fixed minimum amount is published, but having around 500 TND (approx. $160 USD) per week in cash or card access is sensible.Recommended
Visa-free entry is straightforward
Indonesian passport holders get 90 days visa-free in Tunisia. No application, no fee, no embassy visit. Just show up with a valid passport and a return ticket.
Overstaying is not an option
The 90-day stay cannot be extended. If you overstay, you risk fines and a re-entry ban. Set a reminder to leave before day 90.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents before departure
Print or save digital copies of your passport (photo page), return ticket, and first night's accommodation. Also download an offline map of Tunis or your destination — mobile data can be patchy at the airport.
2
Arrive at Tunis–Carthage Airport (or other entry point)
At Tunis–Carthage Airport, follow signs to 'Passport Control' (Passeport). Join the queue for non-Tunisian nationals. Have your passport and boarding pass ready. The officer will check your passport validity, stamp your entry, and may ask for your return ticket or accommodation. Answer clearly and politely.
3
Collect your luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim. Then walk through the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel unless you have goods to declare. That's it — you're in.
