What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Zambia eVisa portal (evisa.zambiaimmigration.gov.zm). Fill in your personal details, passport info, travel dates, and upload a passport-style photo. Pay the fee (typically around $50 USD for a single-entry tourist eVisa). Submit and wait for approval — processing usually takes 3–5 business days.
2
Print or save your eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll receive an email with your eVisa document. Print a copy and also save a digital version on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and upon arrival.
3
Prepare your documents for departure
Before heading to the airport, gather: passport (valid 6+ months), printed eVisa, return/onward ticket, first night hotel booking, and travel insurance. Keep them in your carry-on.
4
Arrive at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (Lusaka) or other entry points
At immigration, present your passport, eVisa, and return ticket. The officer will stamp you in. The process is usually quick — 10–15 minutes if you have all documents ready.
5
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There's no arrival declaration form required for Indonesia passport holders. You're free to exit.
