What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa Online
Go to the official Bahrain eVisa website (evisa.gov.bh). Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel dates. Upload a passport-style photo and a copy of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around 30-50 BHD depending on visa type) with a credit card. Processing usually takes 1-3 business days.
2
Receive eVisa Approval
Once approved, you'll get an email with your eVisa PDF. Print a copy and save it on your phone. The eVisa is linked to your passport number electronically, but having a physical copy is safer.
3
Prepare Documents for Arrival
Before you fly, gather: passport (valid 6+ months), printed eVisa, return ticket, hotel booking confirmation, and travel insurance details. Keep them in your carry-on.
4
Arrive at Bahrain International Airport (BAH)
After landing, follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then to 'Passport Control'. Join the queue for 'Foreign Passports'. Have your passport and eVisa ready. The officer may ask about your accommodation and return ticket. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport with an entry date.
5
Collect Luggage and Exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim. Then walk through customs (green channel if nothing to declare). You're now in Bahrain.
