Israeli passport holders need an eVisa to enter Cameroon. The eVisa is straightforward to obtain online before you travel. As of 2026, this is the only way to get a visa for tourism or business — there is no visa on arrival.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Cameroon eVisa at the official portal. Processing takes 3–5 business days. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport to the border.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover your entire stay
Your passport must be valid for at least the duration of your stay in Cameroon. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires before you leave, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward ticket showing you will leave Cameroon before your visa expires. Have a printed or digital copy ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Officers may ask where you are staying. Have a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their address and contact details.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Be ready to show cash, bank statements, or a credit card. There is no fixed minimum, but having around 500 USD equivalent in cash or available credit covers most situations.Recommended
Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory
You must show your yellow fever vaccination certificate (yellow card) at immigration. Without it, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated at the airport. Get the shot at least 10 days before you fly.
Local currency and cash
Cameroon uses the Central African CFA franc (XAF). Credit cards are accepted in major hotels and some restaurants in Yaoundé and Douala, but cash is king everywhere else. Bring some euros or US dollars to exchange at the airport or a bank.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Cameroon eVisa website (evisacameroon.com). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee online. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days, but can be faster.
2
Receive and print your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get an email with your eVisa PDF. Print it out — you'll need a physical copy to show at check-in and at immigration in Cameroon.
3
Prepare your documents for departure
At the airport check-in counter, you'll be asked for your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. Keep them together in your hand luggage.
4
Arrive at Yaoundé or Douala airport
After landing, follow signs to immigration. Present your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. The officer will stamp you in. Keep your boarding pass handy — they may ask for it.
