Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport must be valid for the entire time you plan to stay in Jamaica. No minimum validity beyond your departure date is required by Jamaican law, but airlines may enforce 6 months validity — check with your carrier before flying.
Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Jamaica
Immigration officers routinely ask for proof of a return or onward flight within 90 days. Airlines also check this at check-in. Have a printed or digital copy of your ticket ready.
Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
You may be asked where you're staying during your visit. A hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their address and contact number works. Keep a copy on your phone or printed.
Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during your stay
Officers can ask for evidence of sufficient funds. A bank statement, credit card, or cash equivalent to roughly US$100 per day of your stay is a safe benchmark. No fixed amount is published.
Recommended
No extension for visa-free stays
You cannot extend your 90-day visa-free stay. If you need more time, apply for a tourist visa at a Jamaican embassy before you travel. Overstaying leads to fines and potential bans.
Airlines may enforce 6-month passport validity
Jamaican law doesn't require 6 months validity beyond your stay, but many airlines do. Check with your carrier before flying to avoid being denied boarding.
No visa needed for 90 days
Israeli passport holders can enter Jamaica visa-free for up to 90 days. Just bring a valid passport, a return ticket, and proof of accommodation.
What happens at the border
1
Arrive at the airport
You'll land at Norman Manley International (KIN) in Kingston or Sangster International (MBJ) in Montego Bay. Follow signs to 'Immigration' — there's usually a separate queue for non-Jamaican passport holders.
2
Present your documents
Hand over your passport and completed immigration card (you'll get it on the plane). The officer will likely ask: 'How long are you staying?' and 'Where are you staying?' Answer clearly. They may also ask for your return ticket.
3
Get stamped in
If everything's in order, the officer stamps your passport with 'Admitted' and a date. That's your entry record. Keep the stamp visible — you'll need it when you leave.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, head to baggage claim, then customs. There's usually a green channel for nothing to declare. If you're carrying more than US$10,000 in cash or equivalent, you must declare it.
Enter your arrival date and we'll tell you exactly when you need to leave.

Travel insurance with medical evacuation is strongly advised.
