Uganda entry requirements for Israel passport holders
Israeli passport holders need an eVisa to enter Uganda. The application is entirely online and takes about 2–3 business days to process. As of 2026, there is no visa-on-arrival option for tourism — you must have the eVisa approved before you fly.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| eVisa application Apply before travel | Apply for your Uganda eVisa at the official Uganda eVisa portal. Processing takes 2–5 business days, so apply at least a week before your flight. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Entebbe will check it before stamping you in.Apply for eVisa | Required |
| Valid passport Must be valid for entire stay | Your Israeli passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Uganda. Uganda does not enforce a strict 6-month validity rule, but airlines may check — if your passport expires within 3 months of travel, renew it before booking. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Required for entry | Immigration at Entebbe Airport will ask for proof of onward travel — a return flight or a ticket to your next destination. Have a printed copy or show it on your phone. Airlines also check this before boarding. | Required |
| Proof of accommodation Recommended to carry | While not always checked, having a hotel booking or a letter of invitation from your host speeds things up. If you're staying with friends, ask them to write a simple letter with their address and phone number. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Recommended to carry | Immigration officers may ask how you'll support yourself during your stay. Carry a bank statement or credit card showing available funds — $200–$300 USD per week is a safe benchmark. | Recommended |

Transiting through Uganda
Israel passport holders transiting through Uganda do not need a transit visa if they remain airside and have a confirmed onward ticket. However, if you need to pass through immigration (e.g., to change airports or collect luggage), you must obtain an eVisa or visa on arrival.
- Holders of a valid US, UK, or Schengen visa may transit without visa for up to 24 hours.
