Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your Indian passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended departure date from Azerbaijan. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required

Required for entry
Immigration officers at Baku Heydar Aliyev Airport routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to carry
Hotel booking confirmations or a letter of invitation from your host in Azerbaijan can speed up the immigration process. Officers may ask where you are staying — have the address and contact number handy.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to carry
Carry evidence of sufficient funds for your stay — bank statements, credit cards, or cash. While not always checked, having $50–100 USD per day available can satisfy any officer who asks.Recommended
Apply early — processing takes 3 business days
Don't wait until the last minute. Submit your eVisa application at least a week before departure to avoid delays.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for 6 months from the day you land in Azerbaijan, not from your departure date. Double-check before applying.

Print or save your eVisa
Once approved, print a paper copy of the eVisa and also save the PDF on your phone. You'll need to show it at immigration in Baku.
