Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must cover your full stay
At least 6 months validity beyond your entry date. Minimum 1 blank page for the entry stamp. Airlines may deny boarding if validity is too close.Required
Return or onward ticket
Officers check this regularly
A confirmed flight out of the country. Immigration may ask to see this — have a screenshot ready on your phone. An onward ticket from a neighbouring country also works.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel name or address
A hotel booking confirmation, or the address of where you are staying. The arrival form often asks for this. A Booking.com or Airbnb confirmation email is fine.Recommended
Proof of funds
Rarely checked
Immigration officers may ask you to demonstrate sufficient funds for your stay. A credit card or bank statement usually suffices.Recommended
Only use the official website
There are many third-party sites that charge extra. Use only the official Morocco e-visa portal (acces.ma or visa.maroc.ma) to avoid scams.
Visa-free not yet available
As of 2026, Indian citizens do not qualify for visa-free entry. The e-visa is the only option for tourism. Double-check the official portal for any last-minute policy changes.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the Morocco e-visa online
Go to the official Morocco e-visa portal. Create an account, fill in your personal and travel details, and upload the required documents (passport scan, photo, hotel booking, flight itinerary). Pay the visa fee using a credit or debit card.
2
Receive your e-visa by email
Processing usually takes 3–7 working days. Once approved, you'll get a PDF e-visa via email. Print at least two copies — one to present at immigration, one as backup.
3
Travel to Morocco and present your documents
At the airport in Morocco (Casablanca, Marrakech, Rabat, etc.), go to the immigration counter. Hand over your passport, printed e-visa, return flight ticket, and hotel booking. The officer will verify and stamp your passport for entry. You may also be asked for proof of funds.
