Must cover your full stay
At least 6 months validity beyond your entry date. Minimum 1 blank page for the entry stamp. Airlines may deny boarding if validity is too close.Required

E-Visa is mandatory — no exceptions
Indian passport holders cannot enter Singapore without an approved e-Visa. There is no visa-on-arrival or visa waiver. Apply well in advance and double-check the visa validity dates before booking your flight.
SG Arrival Card – do it online
Don't wait until you land to fill out the SG Arrival Card. Complete it online within 3 days of arrival. It takes 5 minutes and saves time at immigration. Use the official website: https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard/
Changi Airport – smooth arrival with documents ready
If you have your e-visa printout, passport (6 months validity), SG Arrival Card QR code, and return ticket, you'll breeze through immigration at Changi. The officers are professional and quick.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the Singapore e-Visa
Go to the official ICA e-Visa portal (or use an authorized travel agent). Fill in your personal details, passport info, travel dates, and upload a recent passport-style photo. Pay the fee (currently around SGD $30). Processing usually takes 1–3 working days, but apply at least 2 weeks early to be safe.
2
Receive your e-Visa by email
Once approved, you'll get a PDF with your visa details. Print a paper copy and also save a digital version on your phone. Keep it with your passport at all times during your trip.
3
Complete the SG Arrival Card
Up to 3 days before departure, submit the online SG Arrival Card via the official website or MyICA Mobile app. You'll receive a confirmation with a QR code. Take a screenshot and show it at immigration.
4
Arrival at Changi Airport
When you land at Singapore Changi Airport, proceed to the foreign passport queues. Have your passport (with 6 months validity), e-Visa printout, SG Arrival Card QR code, and return ticket ready. The officer may also ask about your hotel and funds. If your documents are in order, expect a quick process.

Typically 1 to 3 working days, but it can take up to a week during peak periods. Apply at least 2 weeks before your trip. There is no expedited service for most applicants.
Extensions are generally not allowed for e-Visa holders. Overstaying can lead to fines, a ban, or deportation. Leave before your visa expires.
The e-Visa typically allows a stay of up to 30 days from entry. The exact duration is printed on your visa sticker – check it carefully.
No. The e-Visa is mandatory for all Indian passport holders, regardless of other visas. A valid visa from another country does not grant visa-free entry to Singapore.
It depends. Some e-Visas are single-entry, some are multiple-entry. Check the issued visa. If you plan to leave and re-enter Singapore (e.g., a day trip to Malaysia), request a multiple-entry visa during your application.
No biometrics are required for the e-Visa application – you just upload a digital photo. However, some authorized visa centers may ask for a physical photo.
You will be refused entry and sent back on the next flight. There is no visa-on-arrival for Indian citizens. Always have your approved e-Visa before you travel.
