What happens at the border

1
Prepare documents before you fly
Check your passport validity (6 months) and blank pages. Print or save your onward ticket and hotel booking. Have your accommodation address handy.
2
Fill out the arrival card (if required)
As of 2026, Thailand has moved to the TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) system. You can pre-fill it online at tdac.immigration.go.th, but it's not mandatory for all travellers. If you haven't done it, you can complete it on arrival at the kiosks.
3
Go through immigration at the airport
At Suvarnabhumi (BKK), Don Mueang (DMK), Phuket, or Chiang Mai, follow the 'Foreign Passport' signs. Join the queue, present your passport, boarding pass, and any requested documents. The officer will stamp your passport with a 60-day entry.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After clearing immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There's usually nothing to declare unless you carry restricted items.
