Apply at least 2 weeks before travel
Processing times can vary, especially during peak seasons. Give yourself at least 2 weeks from application to departure to avoid last-minute stress.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the visa online
Go to the official Kosovo e-Visa portal at https://e-viza.rks-gov.net/. Fill in the application form, upload your passport scan and supporting documents, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive your visa approval
You'll get an email with the visa decision. If approved, download and print the approval letter. Keep a digital copy on your phone as backup.
3
Arrive at Pristina International Airport
At passport control, hand over your passport and visa approval letter. The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation confirmation. Have them ready on your phone or printed.
4
Get your entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with the entry date and allowed stay. Check the stamp before leaving the counter — if the dates look wrong, ask for correction immediately.

Frequently asked questions

No. There is no visa-on-arrival for Indian citizens. You must apply for an e-Visa online before you travel. The application is at e-viza.rks-gov.net and takes about 3–5 business days to process.
The standard e-Visa for Indian passport holders allows a stay of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Your exact allowed stay will be printed on the visa approval letter and entry stamp.
Your application will be rejected. You need at least 6 months of validity from your date of entry. Renew your passport first, then apply for the visa.
Yes. You need an onward ticket showing you'll leave Kosovo within your visa validity. A flight to another country works just as well as a return to India.
It's not listed as a mandatory requirement on the official checklist, but it's strongly recommended. If you need medical care, costs can be high. Many travellers get a policy from SafetyWing or similar providers.
Extensions are not available for this visa type. You must leave before your allowed stay expires. Overstaying can result in fines or a ban from re-entering.
You'll receive an email with the reason. Common reasons include insufficient passport validity, missing documents, or errors in the application. You can reapply after fixing the issue. There's no official appeal process, but you can contact the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs for guidance.
