Land at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport
Follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' after you get off the plane. It's a dedicated counter before immigration. Queues can be long, especially during peak hours (morning and evening).

Fill out the visa application form
You'll get a small form to fill out. It asks for basic info: name, passport number, flight number, address in Ethiopia. Have your accommodation address ready.

Submit documents and pay
Hand over your passport, completed form, passport photo (if asked), and the visa fee in USD cash. The officer will process it and give you a receipt.

Collect your passport with visa sticker
Wait a few minutes (usually 5–15). They'll call your name or hand it back. Check the visa sticker: make sure the dates and duration are correct.
