Most Italian visitors fly into Maseru. At immigration, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport, return ticket (printed or on phone), and accommodation confirmation ready. The officer will stamp you in for up to 14 days. The process usually takes 5–10 minutes if your documents are in order.

Prepare for the immigration interview
The officer may ask your purpose of visit, where you're staying, and when you're leaving. Answer clearly and briefly. If you have a return ticket and accommodation booked, you're fine. They rarely ask for proof of funds, but it's wise to have a bank statement or cash available.

After the stamp, head to baggage claim (if flying), then customs. There's usually nothing to declare for personal items. If driving in from South Africa, expect a brief vehicle check at the border post.
