Arrive at Ulaanbaatar airport or border crossing
Most Italian travelers fly into Chinggis Khaan International Airport (UBN) in Ulaanbaatar. Land borders from Russia or China are also possible but less common. At the airport, follow signs to 'Foreign Passports' — there's usually one main queue for non-Mongolian citizens.

Present your passport and documents
Hand over your passport (valid 6+ months) and your return/onward ticket. The officer may ask for your hotel address. They'll stamp you in — the whole process takes 2–5 minutes if there's no queue.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, grab your bags from the carousel and walk through customs. There's nothing to declare for most tourists. You're free to enter Mongolia.
