Must be valid for the duration of stay
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Uganda. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.Required

Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Without one, you risk being refused entry at Entebbe Airport. Have a printed or digital copy ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Have a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host ready. Immigration may ask where you're staying — a printed booking confirmation avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient money for your stay
Carry evidence of at least $300 USD in cash, a credit card, or a bank statement. Immigration can ask how you'll support yourself during your trip.Recommended
eVisa is mandatory — no exceptions
You cannot get a visa on arrival at Entebbe. Apply online at least a week before your flight. Without an approved eVisa, you'll be denied boarding by the airline.
Passport validity counts from entry, not departure
