Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for the entire time you're in Kosovo. No minimum validity beyond your stay is required by Kosovo law, but airlines may enforce 3 months.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Kosovo
Immigration officers at Pristina Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Border officers may ask where you're staying. A hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their address is enough.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Officers can ask for proof of sufficient funds. Have a bank statement or credit card showing at least €50 per day of your stay.Recommended
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Kosovo immigration counts 6 months from your entry date, not your departure. If your passport expires within 6 months of landing, you'll be turned away. Check your passport now.
No visa, no fee, no registration
Italian passport holders enter Kosovo with just a valid passport. No visa application, no fee, no online registration. Just show up at the border.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Pristina International Airport
Most travellers fly into Pristina (PRN). After landing, follow signs to 'Arrivals' and join the queue for 'All Passports' or 'Non-Kosovo Citizens'. Have your passport and boarding pass ready.
2
Present your passport at immigration
Hand over your passport. The officer will check your validity, may ask your purpose of visit and how long you're staying. Answer briefly: 'Tourism' and 'X days'. They'll stamp your passport with a 90-day entry.
3
Collect luggage and exit
After the stamp, proceed to baggage claim, then through customs (green channel if nothing to declare). No additional forms or fees.
