What happens at the border

1
Apply for e-Visa online
Go to the official Bangladesh e-Visa website (evisa.gov.bd). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the visa fee online with a credit or debit card. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.
2
Receive e-Visa approval
You'll get an email with your approved e-Visa as a PDF. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. The visa is usually valid for single entry and allows a stay of up to 30 days.
3
Arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) in Dhaka
After landing, follow signs to 'Foreign Passports' immigration counters. Have your passport, printed e-Visa, return ticket, and accommodation proof ready. The officer will check your documents, take fingerprints, and stamp you in. The whole process usually takes 10–20 minutes if you have everything ready.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After clearing immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. If you have nothing to declare, use the green channel. You're now free to enter Bangladesh.

Frequently asked questions

No. Jordanian passport holders are not eligible for visa on arrival. You must apply for an e-Visa online before you travel.
Processing usually takes 3–5 business days. Apply at least a week before your planned departure to be safe. The fee is around $50–$70 depending on the type and duration.
The standard e-Visa allows a stay of up to 30 days from the date of entry. It is single entry only. If you need longer, you must apply for a different visa type before travel.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you enter Bangladesh. If it expires sooner, renew your passport before applying for the e-Visa.
Bangladesh requires a yellow fever vaccination certificate if you are arriving from a country with yellow fever risk. Jordan is not a risk country, so you likely don't need it unless you have recently traveled to an affected area.
Extensions are not available for standard e-Visas. If you need to stay longer, you must leave the country and apply for a new visa, or apply for a different visa type before travel that allows longer stays.
Have your passport, printed e-Visa, return ticket, and accommodation booking confirmation ready. The officer may also ask for proof of sufficient funds — a bank statement or credit card is usually enough.
