Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Jordanian passport holders need an eVisa to enter Moldova. Apply at evisa.gov.md at least 10 working days before departure. The eVisa costs €80 for single entry and is valid for up to 90 days within 180 days.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Moldova. Moldova does not require 6 months of validity beyond departure, but airlines may enforce it — check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Border officers at Chișinău Airport routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital return ticket or onward itinerary ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to carry
Immigration may ask where you're staying. Have a hotel booking confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host ready.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to carry
You may be asked to show you have enough money for your stay. Carry bank statements or a credit card — around €50 per day is a safe benchmark.Recommended
Passport validity counts from arrival, not departure
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Moldova. If it expires sooner, renew it before applying for the eVisa. A rejected application means losing the fee.
eVisa is digital — no embassy visit needed
You apply entirely online at evisa.gov.md. No need to visit an embassy or consulate. The eVisa is sent by email as a PDF. Print it and keep a copy on your phone.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to evisa.gov.md and fill out the application. Upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page and a recent passport-style photo. Pay the fee (around €80-€100 depending on processing speed). Processing usually takes 3-5 business days.
2
Receive your eVisa by email
Once approved, you’ll get a PDF via email. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. The eVisa is linked to your passport number, so you don’t need to carry a physical sticker.
3
Arrive at Chișinău International Airport
At passport control, hand over your passport and the eVisa printout (or show it on your phone). The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation. Answer clearly. The process usually takes 2-5 minutes.
4
Enter Moldova
Once stamped in, you’re free to stay for up to 90 days within a 180-day period (standard eVisa conditions). Keep your passport safe — you’ll need it for hotel check-ins and any police checks.
