Valid passport

Your Jordanian passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Oman. Airlines check this before boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Immigration officers at Muscat International Airport routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter from your Omani host. Immigration may ask where you are staying, especially if you arrive without a pre-booked hotel.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show sufficient cash or card
Have at least 500 OMR (about 1,300 USD) in cash or a credit card statement. Border officers rarely ask, but it helps if questioned.Recommended
Apply early — don't risk it
eVisa processing can take up to 3 business days. If you apply the day before your flight and it's delayed, you won't be able to board. Apply at least a week in advance.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your eVisa, flight tickets, and hotel booking as PDFs on your phone. If you lose the paper copies, you can show them on your screen at immigration.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Oman eVisa website (evisa.rop.gov.om). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 1-3 business days. You'll receive the approved eVisa by email.
2
Print or save your eVisa
Once approved, print a paper copy of the eVisa and save a PDF on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and at immigration in Muscat or Salalah.
3
Arrive at Muscat or Salalah airport
Most flights from Jordan land at Muscat International Airport (MCT). Follow signs to 'eVisa' or 'Foreign Passports' queue. Hand over your passport and eVisa. The officer will stamp you in — usually takes 2-5 minutes.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel. There's a customs check (green channel for nothing to declare). Then you're free to leave the airport.
