Jordanian passport holders must get an eVisa before traveling to Uganda in 2026. The entire application is online, and approval usually arrives within a few days. Once approved, you can stay up to 90 days.

eVisa is mandatory — no visa on arrival for Jordanians
Jordanian passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Uganda. You must apply and receive approval online before you travel. No exceptions.
Yellow fever vaccine recommended
While not strictly required for travelers from Jordan, Uganda is a yellow fever endemic country. The vaccine is cheap, lasts a lifetime, and avoids any hassle at the border.
What happens at the border

Apply for eVisa online
Go to visas.immigration.go.ug, fill in your details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page, and pay the fee (around $50 USD for a single-entry tourist visa). Processing takes 2–5 business days. You'll receive the approval by email.

Print or save your eVisa
Once approved, print a copy and also save a PDF on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and at Entebbe Airport immigration.

Arrive at Entebbe Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Immigration'. Join the queue for 'Visitors with eVisas'. Have your passport, eVisa printout, and return ticket ready. The officer will stamp you in — usually takes 2–5 minutes.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel and proceed through customs. There's usually a quick bag scan. Then you're free to exit into the arrivals hall.
