Rwanda entry requirements for Japan passport holders
Japanese passport holders can get a visa on arrival in Rwanda for up to 30 days. No advance application is needed — just show up at Kigali International Airport with your documents and pay the fee. This has been the policy since 2023.

Transiting through Rwanda
Japanese passport holders transiting through Rwanda do not need a visa if staying airside and not passing through immigration. For landside transit or leaving the airport, a visa on arrival is required.
