What happens at the border

1
Apply for the e-visa online
Go to the official Afghan e-visa website (evisa.afghanistan.gov.af) and fill out the application form. You'll need to upload your passport photo and provide your travel details. Pay the fee online (around $100 USD for a single-entry visa, but fees can change).
2
Wait for approval
Processing typically takes 3 to 5 working days, but it can take longer. Check your email regularly for the approval notification. If approved, you'll receive a PDF e-visa — print it out and also save it on your phone.
3
Arrive at Kabul International Airport
When you land at Kabul (KBL), go to the immigration hall. Have your passport, printed e-visa, and yellow fever certificate (if applicable) ready. The officer will scan your passport and stamp it. Be prepared for possible additional questions about your stay.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After clearing immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then to customs. If you have nothing to declare, walk through the green channel. Keep your e-visa and passport handy until you leave the airport.
