Kenyan passport holders can visit Fiji without a visa for up to 120 days. This policy started in 2024, so you don't need to apply for a visa before traveling. Just make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the day you arrive.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your departure date from Fiji
Your passport needs at least 6 months of validity remaining from the day you leave Fiji. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding. Carry a photocopy of the bio-data page separately.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Fiji
Immigration officers at Nadi Airport routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready. If you plan to island-hop, a ticket to another country (e.g., Australia or New Zealand) also satisfies this requirement.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Have your first night's hotel confirmation or a letter from your host in Fiji ready. Officers rarely ask for it, but if you arrive without any address, they may pull you aside for questioning.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient cash or bank statement
Carry at least FJD 500 (around USD 220) in cash or have a bank statement showing available funds. Immigration can ask how you plan to support yourself during your stay — a credit card and a recent statement work fine.Recommended
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Airlines check your passport validity at check-in. If it's less than 6 months from your arrival date in Fiji, they can refuse to let you board — even if you have a ticket. Double-check before you leave.
No visa, but still need documents
Even though you don't need a visa, immigration officers can still ask for proof of onward travel and accommodation. Have them ready on your phone or printed.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents
Before you leave, gather your passport (valid 6+ months), a printed or digital copy of your return/onward ticket, and your first night's accommodation confirmation. Save them on your phone and print backups.
2
Arrive at Nadi or Suva airport
Most international flights land at Nadi International Airport (NAN). Suva's Nausori Airport (SUV) also handles some flights. Follow signs to 'Immigration' after deplaning.
3
Queue at immigration counter
Join the queue for foreign passport holders. Have your passport, boarding pass, and supporting documents ready. The officer will check your passport validity, ask about your stay, and stamp you in.
4
Receive your entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with a visitor permit valid for up to 120 days. Confirm the allowed stay duration before leaving the counter. If you need less time, tell them — they may stamp a shorter period.
5
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There's no arrival declaration form to fill out for Kenyan passport holders. Walk through the green channel if you have nothing to declare.
