What happens at the border

1
Apply for your eVisa online
Go to https://evisa.gov.lr/ and fill out the application. You'll need your passport details, travel dates, and a digital photo. Pay the fee (around $100–$150 USD) and submit. Processing takes 3–5 business days, so apply at least a week before your trip.
2
Book your flights and accommodation
Once your eVisa is approved, book a return flight and a hotel in Liberia. Keep the confirmations on your phone or printed. If you're staying with friends or family, get a letter from them.
3
Get your yellow fever vaccination
Visit a travel clinic or your doctor to get the yellow fever vaccine. You'll receive a yellow card — keep it with your passport. The shot must be given at least 10 days before you arrive in Liberia.
4
Arrive at Roberts International Airport (Monrovia)
At immigration, present your passport, eVisa, return ticket, and yellow fever card. The officer may ask about your accommodation. Answer clearly. The process is usually straightforward if you have all documents.
