Cambodian passport holders need an eVisa to enter Armenia. The application is entirely online, and you'll receive your visa by email before you travel. As of 2026, this is the standard entry method for tourism and short visits.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply online before travel
Apply for an Armenian eVisa at evisa.mfa.am. The application takes about 10 minutes — upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport data page. Processing takes 3–5 business days, so apply at least a week before your flight. The eVisa costs 6,000 AMD (~$15 USD) for single entry, valid for 21 days.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover your entire stay
Your Cambodian passport needs at least one blank page for the entry stamp. Armenia does not require 6 months validity beyond your departure date — just make sure it's valid for the whole trip. Airlines sometimes enforce 6 months, so check with your carrier if you're transiting through a strict hub like Dubai or Doha.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Armenia
Border officers at Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone. A bus or train ticket to Georgia or Iran also counts as onward travel.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Immigration may ask where you're staying, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary. Have a hotel confirmation or an invitation letter from a host ready. Airbnb bookings are accepted — just make sure the address matches what you tell the officer.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Officers rarely ask for bank statements, but carry a credit card or a few hundred USD in cash just in case. Armenia is cheap — $50/day covers food, transport, and a basic hotel. If you're staying with friends, a simple statement of support from them works.Recommended
eVisa is the only option
Cambodian passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Armenia. You must apply and receive your eVisa before you travel.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for 6 months from the day you land in Armenia, not from your departure date. Double-check before you apply.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for your eVisa online
Go to evisa.mfa.am, fill in your details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $8–$15 depending on processing speed). You'll get the visa by email within 3–5 business days.
2
Print or save your eVisa
Once approved, print a copy and also save a PDF on your phone. You'll show it at check-in and at immigration in Yerevan.
3
Arrive at Zvartnots International Airport (Yerevan)
After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. Have your passport, eVisa printout, and return ticket ready. The officer will stamp you in. The whole process usually takes 5–10 minutes.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After passport control, head to baggage claim, then customs. There's nothing special to declare for personal items. Exit into the arrivals hall.
