What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to the official Libyan eVisa portal (search 'Libya eVisa official'). Fill in your details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (typically $50–$80 USD). Processing takes 3–7 business days.
2
Receive eVisa approval
You'll get an email with your eVisa approval. Print it or save a PDF on your phone. The eVisa is linked to your passport number — you don't need a physical sticker.
3
Arrive at Libyan airport
At Tripoli Mitiga or Benghazi airport, go to the immigration counter. Present your passport, eVisa approval, and return ticket. The officer will stamp your passport and let you through.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel. There's usually a customs check — declare anything valuable. Then exit into the arrivals hall.
