Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Togo eVisa at evisa.gouv.tg at least 5 business days before departure. The eVisa is valid for single entry and allows a stay of up to 15 days. Print the approval email and carry it with your passport — immigration at Lomé Airport will stamp you in.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for the entire stay
Your Cambodian passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Togo. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of onward travel
Immigration at Lomé Airport asks for a return or onward ticket before they stamp you in. Have a printed or digital copy of your outbound flight booking ready. Without it, you may be refused entry.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Togo. Immigration officers sometimes ask for it, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have bank statements or a credit card ready to show you have at least 200,000 XOF (~$330) for your stay. Officers rarely ask, but it helps if you look underprepared.Recommended
Yellow fever vaccine is mandatory
Togo requires proof of yellow fever vaccination for all travellers. Without your yellow card, you may be denied entry or forced to get vaccinated at the airport (which costs money and time).
eVisa processing times vary
Apply at least 7 days before departure. Processing can take up to 5 business days, and there's no rush service. Don't book non-refundable flights until you have the visa.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to evisa.gouv.tg, fill in your details, upload a passport photo and passport scan, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 2–5 business days. You'll receive the approved eVisa by email.
2
Print or save your eVisa
Print a paper copy and also save the PDF on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival.
3
Arrive at Lomé–Tokoin Airport (LFW)
After landing, proceed to immigration. Present your passport, printed eVisa, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation. The officer will stamp you in. The whole process usually takes 15–30 minutes.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After clearing immigration, collect your bags from the carousel and proceed through customs. There's no separate visa-on-arrival queue — everyone with an eVisa goes through the same line.
