What happens at the border

1
Apply for an e-visa
Go to evisa.gov.ua/en and fill out the online application. Upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page, a passport-sized photo, and your travel itinerary. Pay the fee online. Processing takes 5–10 business days.
2
Prepare your documents
Print or save digital copies of your approved visa, passport, return ticket, accommodation booking, and travel insurance. Keep them together in a folder or on your phone.
3
Arrive at the airport in Ukraine
At Boryspil (Kyiv) or Lviv airport, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Hand over your passport and visa. The officer may ask for your return ticket and accommodation. Answer clearly. You'll get a stamp allowing entry.
4
Register your stay (if staying more than 3 days)
If you're staying longer than 3 days, your hotel or host must register you with the local migration office. Ask them to do it — it's their responsibility, but confirm it's done.
