Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Uganda eVisa
Apply for your Uganda eVisa at the official portal before departure. The eVisa is valid for 90 days from issue and allows a single entry stay of up to 90 days. Processing takes 2–5 business days, so apply at least a week before your flight.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Uganda
Your Cambodian passport needs at least two blank pages for entry and exit stamps. Uganda immigration strictly enforces the 6-month validity rule — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of onward travel required
Immigration officers at Entebbe Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket before granting entry. Airlines also check this at check-in — have a printed or digital copy ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation letter
Have a confirmed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Uganda. Immigration may ask for this at the border, especially if you are arriving without a pre-booked itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Bank statement or cash
Carry a bank statement showing sufficient funds for your stay, or have at least $200 USD in cash. Uganda immigration occasionally asks for proof of financial means, especially for longer visits.Recommended
Apply early — no visa on arrival
There is no visa on arrival for Cambodian passport holders. You must have an approved eVisa before you board your flight to Uganda. Apply at least 7 days before departure.
Keep digital copies handy
Save your eVisa approval, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation on your phone. Immigration at Entebbe may ask to see all three. A screenshot works fine.
