What happens at the border

1
Arrive at V. C. Bird International Airport (ANU)
After landing, follow signs to 'Immigration'. There are separate queues for citizens and visitors. Join the 'Visitors' line. Have your passport and return ticket ready.
2
Present your passport and answer questions
Hand over your passport. The officer will ask a few questions: purpose of visit, length of stay, where you're staying. Answer clearly and briefly. They may ask to see your return ticket or accommodation booking.
3
Get stamped in
The officer will stamp your passport with an entry date. Check the stamp before leaving the counter — make sure the date is correct. You're now cleared to stay up to 180 days.
