Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your stay in Estonia
Your passport needs at least 3 months of validity after your planned departure from Estonia. Since Estonia is in Schengen, the 90-day limit applies across all Schengen countries combined — not per country.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Estonia or Schengen area
Immigration officers at Tallinn Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking showing you leave within 90 days.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel confirmation, hostel booking, or an invitation letter from a friend. Border officers rarely ask, but having it ready avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during your stay
Have a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least €100 per day of your stay. Officers seldom check this for South Korean passport holders, but keep a copy handy.Recommended
Schengen zone rules apply
Estonia is part of the Schengen area. Your 90-day visa-free stay counts across all 27 Schengen countries. If you've already spent time in France or Germany earlier in the year, that time counts toward your 90-day limit.
eSIM recommended
Airalo eSIMs activate the moment you land — no airport queue needed. Useful for maps, ride-sharing, and staying in touch.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Tallinn Airport or land border
Most travellers fly into Tallinn Airport (TLL). If arriving by land from Latvia or Russia, you'll go through a border checkpoint. Have your passport and boarding pass ready.
2
Join the non-EU passport queue
At Tallinn Airport, follow signs for 'Non-EU Passports' or 'All Passports'. The queue moves quickly, but during summer it can take 15–30 minutes.
3
Present your passport and answer questions
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask: purpose of visit, where you're staying, how long you'll be in Estonia, and your return date. Answer clearly and briefly.
4
Get your entry stamp
If everything checks out, the officer stamps your passport with the entry date and the number of days allowed. Check the stamp before walking away.
5
Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, head to baggage claim (if you checked bags), then walk through customs. Green channel if you have nothing to declare.
